As we all know there is a lack of black models on the runways and I never understood why that is when our skin is so beautiful against clothes. The fashion world is taking baby steps toward changing that but until it is changed I thought I would just do spotlight on some of my favorite brown models in the industry. How to Wear: Military

Hey guys! I have decided to create a series called How to Wear. This installment is about my take on the military trend. This trend is very big this summer and usually I will take a trend and add my own little twist because as we all know trends do not last. Now when you wear a military inspired outfit you have to be careful because it may come off a little hard if you don't execute the look the right way. The way I wear military is very simple. I add a pop of COLOR. It makes it feminine. How I add that pop of color is to my lips. I love to wear a hot pink lip. It just makes the whole look stand out because it is so neutral. If a bright lip is too much for you then just add a bright shoe or a bright statement accessory. I hope I've given you guys some inspiration on how to do this look but by all means add your own twist and and wear it with confidence. Until next time...xoxo fashion fix ;)

* The Beginning *

Heey everyone!! I am an aspiring fashion stylist, fashion buyer, basically a wellrounded business woman of the fashion world. I live and breathe style on a daily basis and I don't know any other way to live. The fashion industry is a very cut throat industry so you basically have to get in where you fit in. Sooo...on that note, I decided to do a fashion blog!!! This is my baby and it will be my style as well as updates on new trends and whats HOT at the moment. Me being the eclectic dresser that I am, I don't really care about trends coming in or ! My name is Renee and I am a true fashionista. I am an aspiring fashion stylist and out. If I like it I like it. Which brings me to my first trend of the season! *HEADBANDS* Very gossip girl inspired. It is the perfect accessory for your hair. You can have on the most plain outfit but add that cute headband and of course the SHOES and there you have it...The perfect outfit! You don't have to worry about looking like everyone else because these headbands come in all shapes, sizes and textures. Right now you can find them in all the high fashion editorial magazines. As you can see in my pic I'm rocking a cute feathery, peacocky kind of headband. Well what ever it is it's cute! I purchased mine from forever 21 but you can get a cute headband anywhere and they're all affordable. So guys...run down to the mall and get one!
